Next, register for the exam using PSI Testing Website for the state.

• The fee to register for the exam is $40.00.
• Fingerprinting is mandatory of all applicants completing their title agent’s license. If a Title Agent is under investigation, fingerprints help narrow down the search. Fingerprinting is executed at the PA Testing Center the day of your exam. You’ll be able to print your license from the web once issued thereafter. As of recently, no more paper licenses are issued for title agents in Pennsylvania.
• For agencies who have employees, a bond must be administered to cover all staff members in the amount of $150,000. If the agency has no employees, (only owners, partners, or stockholders etc.,) the agency may complete an Affidavit for Insurance Licenses form found on  PA Insurance Website.  For agencies with no employees, the affidavit would leave only one bond requirement left to attain:
• A general surety bond must be obtained in the amount of $100,000 to maintain a valid Title Insurance Agency License in Pennsylvania. This bond protects the clientele the business serves, to ensure that your business practices are ethical and free of misrepresentation, fraud, or other white collar crime.
• After receiving a license and bond, you must acquire a written contract with a licensed title company and become appointed with them before you act as a title agent.
