The West Virginia Hunting and Fishing License Bond is required by the Department of Natural Resources for the State of West Virginia. The bond states that you will issue licenses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 20, Article 2, Section 33 of the Code of West Virginia.
In addition to the clerk of the county commission, the director may appoint agents to issue licenses for the convenience of the public. But before these agents are able to issue the licenses, they must first file a bond payable to the State of West Virginia.
There is no set amount for the bond. According to the West Virginia Code, the amount for the bond will be determined by the Director. Applicants must also pay the license fee before they can act as agents for the department.
