This bond may be asked for those who are not required to obtain TxDMV Motor Carrier Registration or Unified Carrier Registration. This bond is to ensure that any damage that might be sustained by the highway because of the operation of the equipment will be paid for.

You must file your Superheavy or Oversize Permit bond with Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. You are allowed to fax the completed bond and mail the original immediately by regular mail.

Very Important! The electronic copy is only valid for 10 days. You have to remember to mail in the original. As of May 1, 2016, the fax number to fax the bond is (512) 465-4251.*
