The Texas Continuous Manufactured Housing Bond is required by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for those seeking to be licensed under the department. This includes manufacturer, retailer, broker, salesperson or installer.
The Texas Continuous Manufactured Housing Surety Bond states that the bond holder shall faithfully discharge all obligations, duties, and responsibilities under the Texas Manufactured Housing Standards Act, and all applicable rules and regulations of the Executive Director of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
This bond is to be written in favor of the state and the people of the state. If you as the bond principal (the person or entity that bought the bond) do harm against the state or the people of the state with your business dealings, a claim may be made of the bond.
The amount of the bond varies as it is dependent on the type of license being applied for. Please refer to the table below.
|Type of License||Surety Bond Amount|
In addition to the bond, applicants must also pay the fee required and submit a complete and legible set of fingerprints to the department. Applicants must also attend and successfully complete 8 hours of instruction in the law, aside from the specialized instruction depending on the type of license being applied for.
