It protects any person suffering a loss as the result of fraud, misrepresentation or violation under the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law.

The telemarketing business that employs the telemarketer must be registered with the Office of Attorney General. The Telemarketing Bond is one of the requirements for registering.

Aside from the surety bond, applicants must also complete a Telemarketing Registration Application. Payment of $500 for the application fee.
