The Montana Gasoline/Special Fuel Distributor Bond is required by the Montana Department of Transportation.
After getting licensed as a Gasoline/Special Fuel Distributor, you will need to ensure that you pay your taxes. The bond ensures that the bondholder will comply with Gasoline/Special Fuel License Taxes including, but not limited to, any tax, interest, and/or penalty which is due from the bondholder. A surety bond is an agreement between three parties. The principal (the applicant), the obligee (the state) and the surety company. In any event that the principal violates the agreement or surety bond, the surety company will issue a payout. The applicant will then reimburse the company the full amount. The surety bond does not act as insurance for you. Rather, it protects the state from any violation of the state rules and regulations that you might commit while doing business in the state.
Complete our easy to navigate online application. Within one business day, one of our licensed agents will contact you with a no-obligation quote for your bond (the “premium”). Once any necessary paperwork is signed and the premium payment is processed, your surety bond will be shipped to you via USPS Priority Mail (overnight shipping options also available).
