What is the purpose of a Nebraska Licensed Wholesale Drug Distributor Bond?

The bond states that the bondholder shall abide by the rules and regulations of the Wholesale Drug Distributor Licensing Act. It is needed in order to establish this business within the state. A wholesale drug distributor is any person or entity engaged in wholesale drug distribution in this state, including manufacturers, repackagers, own-label distributors, jobbers, private-label distributors, brokers, warehouses including manufacturer and distributor warehouses, chain pharmacy warehouses, and wholesale drug warehouses, wholesale medical gas distributors, independent wholesale drug traders, and retail pharmacies that engage in wholesale drug distribution in the state.

What are the requirements that must be submitted?

• Completed application form.
• Criminal background check for the designated representative, supervisor of the designated representative and each owner with more than 10% interest
• Proof of a surety bond worth
• Documentation showing that you have passed an initial inspection pursuant to 172 NAC 131-005.01
• Payment for the application fee of $550
