The Massachusetts Constable Bond, required by the  City of Fall River, is required to be in the amount of $5,000. The bond is required to be a 3-year term ending on the first Monday of February. The bond states that the bondholder will faithfully perform all duties as a constable in the service of all civil processes which may be committed to them. 

What other requirements should I prepare?

• Completed application form with two 2×2 passport style photos
• Make sure you have a street address and not just a PO Box.
• A letter from an attorney stating that your services as a Constable will be utilized.
• Payment of $180 for the application fee.

Once your application is signed by the Chief of Police, leave your signed documents, along with the Constable Bond, at the Mayor’s Office and just wait for the signature and the Constable Certificate of Appointment.
