The Texas Secretary of State requires the Texas Veterans Organization Solicitation Surety Bond.
Veterans organizations must register with the Secretary of State to legally to business in Texas. Veterans organizations that use a solicitor are required to additionally post a surety bond on file with the Texas Secretary of State. The bond amount for the Texas Veterans Organization Solicitation Surety Bond will vary depending upon the number of counties the organization wishes to solicit.
By the direction of the Secretary of State, the bond amount will adhere to the following schedule:
The Texas Veterans Organization Solicitation Surety Bond states that the bond holder will conduct business in accordance with the Texas Occupations Code. The bond must be kept on file and remain current in order for the soliciting organization to continue to do business. If the veterans organization solicitor surety bond expires without renewal, the Secretary of State revoke the organization’s registration.
