What is the purpose of the Manufactured Housing Bond? 

The bond is a CID Crossover Contractor Consumer Protection bond. It states that if the bondholder has violated a provision or provisions of the Manufactured Housing Act of Regulations and that the violation has resulted in a monetary loss to a consumer, then the bondholder shall pay back the consumer within 30 days of said determination becoming final.

What are some other License Requirements?

Licensed contractors working on Manufactured Homes must be registered with the Manufactured Housing Division before doing any work. Aside from the New Mexico Manufactured Housing Bond, the contractor must also submit the following:

  • A competed application form.
  • Copy of their Construction Industries Division wallet license.
  • $100 payment for the license made payable to the Manufactured Housing Division.
