The California IRP Bonded Web User Bond is required by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles. The bond amount is set at $50,000. It states that the bondholder shall comply with the rules established in the IRP Bonded Web User Agreement. In addition, they shall pay all sums due for any loss or damage arising from activities under the agreement, being suffererd by the State.
The IRP (International Registration Plan) Bonded Web User Program Agreement allows qualified businesses (Bonded Web Users) to process interstate registration services for vehicles remotely. The program authorizes an electronic interface with the California Department of Motor Vehicle’s IRP System. A Bonded Web User must first be issued a permit by the Department of Motor Vehicles. The IRP Bonded Web User Bond is one of the requirements for obtaining the permit.
